Advisory

Speeding

89 MPH, 62 MPH…those are numbers you’d expect from cars on the freeway.

But, no! These lead foots were pulled over on Hayward city streets where the signs are clearly marked 35 MPH or 25 MPH!

We have speed limits for a reason – and this kind of driving is dangerous to everyone. We will cite these kind of violations every day of the week because safety is our priority and we want you to feel safe on the road and as traffic drives through your neighborhood.

If you must leave your home for an essential reason, please drive safely. Traffic may be light, but that’s no reason to speed. And, it’s also no reason to think we are not out there ready to write tickets.

Moral of the story…Obey all traffic laws!
