May 1st Tax Payment Grace Period Extended to June 1st
Governor Murphy has issued Executive Order 130 which allows for municipalities to extend the grace period for collection of second quarter property taxes due May 1, 2020, through June 1, 2020. The Voorhees Township Committee has considered and adopted Resolution 113-20 to allow for the extended grace period through June 1, 2020, for Voorhees Township taxpayers. Please be advised that this is an extension of the grace period only. Payment must be received by end of business on June 1, 2020, to avoid interest. For any payment received after the expiration of the grace period on June 1, 2020, interest will be applied retroactively to May 1, 2020, in accordance with New Jersey law.
