A message from the Township of Ocean Office of Emergency Management. 
Good afternoon. This is a COVID-19 update for April 30, 2020. We are glad to report that the leveling of cases we reported last Friday continues. The township currently has 219 confirmed cases.
Good news is our township parks will re-open tomorrow. Joe Palaia Park will open at 10 AM. In addition, Tennis courts will be re-opening as well. That being said, we want you to know:
• We need you to practice social distancing and please wear a mask
• Bicycles are allowed on on Joe Palaia Part trails - please yeild to walkers and runners
• Please follow the directional arrows on the Joe Palaia Park trails
• No gatherings are allowed in the parks
• The disc golf course in Joe Palaia Park remains closed
• All park restrooms and playgrounds remain closed
• All Ballfields and Basketball courts remain closed (no baseball/softball, soccer, etc)
• Tennis courts at Oakhurst Fireman’s Memorial Park, Dave Dahrouge Park, Wayside Park and the Community Pool are open for play. No gatherings at the courts. No court reservations necessary/accepted until further notice. Evening play is available on courts at the Community Pool until 10:00 pm. Lights are automated and will turn off promptly at 10:00 pm.
Police will be making frequent patrols through the parks and will be enforcing social distancing.
The Executive Order recently issued by Governor Murphy allows Golf Courses to open on May 2. The recreation department advises that we are in the process of getting Colonial Terrace ready to open. The opening date is currently set for May 15.
