Full Notification

Over the last week the Davis Police Department has received several reports of a person who was seen on the Putah Creek bike path carrying what appeared to be a rifle. Officers located the responsible person today and he admitted that he had been using a BB gun to do target practice near the bike path. The BB gun was taken for safekeeping and the responsible person was issued a written notice-of-violation for violating the Davis Municipal Code that prohibits discharging a BB gun in the City Limits. The Davis Police Department does not believe that there is anyone else responsible in these incidents and has found no evidence that an actual firearm was discharged.
