Walnut burglary suspect arrested after termination of Vehicle Pursuit and Traffic Collision.
During the late evening hours of May 4, 2020, Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station received a call from the Chino Hills Sheriff’s Department advising that they were following a Walnut burglary suspect in a vehicle. The suspect had broken into Ninja Sushi in the city of Walnut. Walnut/Diamond Bar Station deputies responded and were informed, the Chino Hills Sheriff’s Deputy lost sight of the vehicle as it entered a local commercial area. While deputies were searching the area, Walnut/Diamond Bar Station deputies spotted the vehicle entering the 60 freeway. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter followed the vehicle as it proceeded westbound on the 60 freeway. The suspect vehicle exited the freeway in the City of Industry. Industry Sheriff’s Station deputies located the suspect vehicle and initiated a vehicle pursuit. The suspect ultimately crashed his vehicle into a curb and light pole and was captured by Los Angeles County Deputies. The suspect was arrested and booked at Walnut/Diamond Bar Station on burglary charges.
