PRESS RELEASE: (UPDATE) Homicide 
Update: Please note the correct spelling of the victims last name Rivera. The victim who has been identified as Roberto Rivera; a 48-year-old resident of Union City, was contracted to do masonry work at the Highlands Circle residence.
Los Altos, CA – On May 4, 2020 at 10:55 AM, Los Altos Police Officers responded to the 1000 block of Highlands Circle on the report of a shooting in the backyard of a residence. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim in the backyard of the residence. Officers immediately rendered medical aid. Santa Clara County Fire Personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at 11:15 AM. The suspect is outstanding, and the case is under investigation. The victim was not a resident of the home.
