2020 National Police Week, May 11th-15th, 2020
2020 National Police Week, May 11th-15th, 2020
On behalf of Chief Louis Bordi and the entire Voorhees Police Department,
The mission of the National Law Enforcement Memorial is to “tell the story of American law enforcement, honor the fallen and make it safer for those who serve”. Today marks the beginning of National Police Week, the time when our nation honors all Law Enforcement Officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.
The vision “To inspire all citizens to value law enforcement” should never be felt more than this week, as we honor those who gave all. Please take time on Peace Officers Memorial Day: May 15 to recognize and remember all of our peace officers. At 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15th, we are asking all NJ Law Enforcement Officers and members of the public to pause for a moment of silence to remember the officers we are adding to our Roll Call of Honor this year, and the other 500 fallen NJ heroes from the past 166 years.
Your Voorhees Police Department will have a special tribute to recognize the fallen on May 15, 2020, which we will air on our social media platforms.
