Palmdale Fatal Traffic Collision 
On May 12th, 2020, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to Site 2 Road and East Avenue M in the City of Palmdale regarding a traffic collision. Preliminary information gathered indicated the driver of a tan, 2004 Lexus ES330, was traveling westbound on East Avenue M, approaching Site 2 Road when the vehicle veered onto eastbound lanes of traffic and collided head on with the driver of a gray, 2017 Ford Fusion.
Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and rendered lifesaving efforts to the driver of the Lexus. Fire Paramedic's pronounced the driver of the Lexus deceased at the scene.
The occupants of the Ford Fusion sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, where both are in stable condition.
Palmdale Sheriff’s Station Traffic detectives responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
LASD Traffic Services Detail was also notified and responded to the scene.
The intersection of East Avenue M and Site 2 road are closed for the duration of the investigation.
There is no additional information at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
