Advisory

Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station helps brighten a local Diamond Bar residents day.

Phillip Choi, a Diamond Bar resident, woke up on May 1 at 5:30 a.m. to his vehicle on fire in front of his residence. After the fire was extinguished Deputies on scene noticed Philip had removed several $100 dollars’ worth of burnt/melted fishing gear from the trunk of the car. In the fire Phillip lost his only means of transportation, and he also lost his only means of recreation as well. After hearing about this incident the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station bought Phillip a new fishing pole. We also contacted Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga who donated $50 worth of fishing tackle to Phillip as well. In times of need we are always here to help the residents we serve and even something as small as a fishing pole can brighten someone’s day. Special thanks to Bass Pro for their support of our community.
