Detectives arrested Aaron Edwards of Fawnskin for sexual assault and a parole violation

SUSPECT: Aaron Edwards, 53 years old, resident of Big Bear
VICTIM: Confidential female
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday May 13, 2020 at about 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in Big Bear Lake reference a report of a sexual assault. It was reported that Aaron Edwards bound the victim with duct tape around her wrist and mouth then proceeded to sexually assault her. The victim positively identified Edwards as the suspect.
Detectives and deputies located and arrested Edwards at his residence without incident. A search warrant was later served at Edwards' residence and additional evidence was located.
Edwards was later booked at West Valley Detention Center for PC 289(A)(1)(A) and a no bail parole hold as Edwards is on active felony parole.
