* At 602 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen from near Altus to Cooperton. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Altus, Snyder, Tipton, Blair, Olustee, Mountain Park, Roosevelt, Gotebo, Manitou, Martha, Elmer, Headrick, Friendship, Cooperton, Altus Air Force Base, Tom Steed Reservoir, Warren, Humphreys, western Fort Sill and Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area as heavy rainfall is expected to increase across the warned area.
