Municipal Changes in Wisconsin Dells
Below is a listing of our upcoming changes.  Please understand that social distancing is still being observed at this time.  And, while some city services begin to normalize on a limited basis, abrupt changes may occur as needed to keep our citizens, workers and visitors safe.  Please continue to be patient as we all move toward a well deserved summer.  Check here https://www.citywd.org/ for more updates.

  • Municipal Building will reopen to public on Tuesday, May 26th with social distancing practices in place for the lobby area, meeting spaces and for Municipal Court.  The city encourages residents to continue using the secure depository box on the front of the building for payments whenever possible.
  • Kilbourn Public Library will be accepting returns of all items on Friday, May 22nd and Saturday, May 23rd.   Items should be placed in the bins labeled for returns in the turn-around area.   The library will be expanding their services beginning Tuesday, May 26th.  In addition to offering curbside pick-up and return of library materials, a limited number of public computers will be available for use. Printing and faxing services will also be available.   Social distancing and room capacity limits will be enforced and face masks are encouraged.  Reference materials, reader’s advisory and hold placements will be available by phone at 608-254-2146.  Library hours will be Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and on Saturdays 9:00am-2:00pm.  Free Wi-Fi is also available outside the building by the fountain seating area.
  • Parks & Recreation Department will open parks, playgrounds and the basketball courts starting Tuesday, May 26th with public restrooms open during limited hours.  Social distancing and frequent hand washing or sanitizing  should be followed.  Limited recreation programs will be offered in the near future.  These programs will be announced via social media and on the city’s website. The municipal pool is tentative scheduled to open on June 27th.   This will be monitored as more information becomes available and feedback from the community is received.
  • Parking Board will begin parking enforcement on Monday, June 1st.  Just a reminder that a local $10 parking pass for Lots 3 & 7 can be purchased at the Municipal Building during normal business hours.
  • Police Dept. Lobby will open on Friday, May 22nd at 7:00 a.m.  We will continue to practice social distancing for all matters at the police department.
