Suspect: Robert Poole, 37 years old, adult male (In-custody)

On April 21st, 2020, the victim reported to Redwood City Police Officers she had been recently assaulted by her boyfriend, identified as Robert Poole. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries corroborating her statement to officers. The victim also disclosed she had been assaulted numerous times throughout the course of the relationship with Poole. Redwood City Police Detectives obtained a domestic violence arrest warrant for Poole and conducted surveillance on several of his known locations.

On April 22nd, 2020, Redwood City Detectives located Poole driving a pick-up truck in Redwood City. Detectives attempted to stop him, but Poole fled the scene, driving recklessly and nearly striking detectives and their vehicle. Redwood City Detectives obtained an additional arrest warrant for assault on an officer. In addition to the two arrest warrants, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation issued an arrest warrant for a parole violation.

On May 19th, 2020, the United States Marshal’s Task Force located and apprehended Poole without incident in San Francisco. Poole was later booked into the San Mateo County Jail for the warrants.
