Please report violence or abuse occurring in the home.
The Hayward Police Department takes all violence and abuse in the home seriously and we want survivors and witnesses to request police assistance without fear.
You can call or text 9-1-1. Or you can call our dispatch directly at 510-293-7000.
The City of Hayward has Domestic Violence Shelters and we always provide survivors with resources. We also work with SAVE Advocates for Domestic Violence Survivors and BAWAR for Rape Survivors.
With the Shelter-In-Place Order, there is a 30-day. extension to expiration dates on TROs. Individuals can obtain assistance with TROs by contacting the Alameda County Family Justice Center at (510)267
8801.
Individuals can still apply for Temporary Restraining Orders by submitting the required filings at the drop box located at the public entrance to the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland or the drop box located at the public entrance to the Hayward Hall of Justice. Court staff will contact you once your TRO has been ruled on and ready to pickup. Completed TROs are available for pickup at the Hayward Hall of Justice.
We work closely with the Alameda County District’s Attorney’s Office and Alameda County Law Enforcement agencies. Please visit the link below for more FAQs and answers on how to protect survivors of Domestic and Interpersonal Violence or Abuse:
