Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 10100 Balsam Avenue, Hesperia
DECEDENT: Julian Robert Sanchez Garcia, age 31 a resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Monday, May 25, 2020, at about 2:49 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the10100 block of Balsam Avenue, following the report of suspicious circumstances. An unknown male subject had forced entry into the residence, and a shooting had occurred. Upon arrival, deputies located Julian Garcia inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Garcia was pronounced deceased by responding medical personnel. Deputies located two adult male occupants in the home; they were transported to the Hesperia Station and were cooperative with law enforcement.
Investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division - Homicide Detail responded and are conducting the investigation. Detectives interviewed the two males and were advised they were awakened by yelling and pounding on their front door, Garcia then forced entry into their home. Garcia is not known to the male occupants.
Upon completion, the report will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review. No arrests have been made.
