SUSPECT(S): Robert Aid Jr, age 32 of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
Deputies at the Fontana Sheriff’s Station are conducting an investigation regarding possession of stolen checks and identity theft in Fontana.
On Saturday, May 23, 2020, at approximately 2355 hours, Deputy G. Jimenez, conducted a traffic stop on a gray Infinity Sedan in the area of San Bernardino Avenue and Live Oak Avenue in the city of Fontana.
Deputy Jimenez identified the passenger to be Robert Aid Jr., and found that he was on active felony probation.
During the investigation, Aid was found to be in possession of several credit cards and stimulus checks which did not belong to him. Aid was released at the scene and the report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review.
The victims of the stolen stimulus checks will be contacted and the checks will be released to them.
