During the month of May 2020, detectives with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit and Sheriff’s Gang Unit concluded an investigation into illegal narcotics activity involving a residence in the City of Oxnard.
On May 22 at about 2:15 PM, detectives with the Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit and Sheriff’s Gang Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 1500 block of West Hemlock Street in Oxnard. During the warrant service, approximately 80 pounds of marijuana packaged for sales was located and seized. In addition to the marijuana, various amounts of other controlled substances were also located and seized. The marijuana was being distributed by local street gang members and had an estimated street value of over $400,000.
Although no arrests were made at the time of the warrant service, detectives believe arrests will be made soon.
