Three vehicle collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard fronting Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo. One driver arrested for DUI.

San Anselmo, CA 5/26/2020. Today at approximately 5:24 p.m. the Central Marin Police Authority received several 911 calls regarding a three-vehicle collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard fronting the High School, blocking all lanes of traffic.

The subsequent investigation determined this to be a non-injury collision involving a Jeep, a Ford pick-up truck and a Toyota Prius. Suspect Adam David Grubb, age 24 from San Anselmo, CA, initially told investigators that he was a passenger in the Jeep at the time of the collision and the driver had fled the scene on foot. However; witness statements and evidence located at the scene determined Grubb was in fact the driver of the Jeep at the time of the collision. Grubb was also found to be on Marin County probation for two prior DUI convictions. The collision caused a portion of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard between Saunders Avenue and Broadmoor Avenue to be shut down for an hour and a half.

Grubb was subsequently arrested and booked at the Marin County Jail for the following charges, 23152 (a) VC Driving Under the Influence, 23154 VC Violation of DUI probation terms, 1203.2 P.C. Probation Violation and, 148.1(a)(1) PC Resisting, delaying, or obstructing a police officer investigation.
