Fireworks in Ontario are illegal 
The Ontario Police Department would like to remind residents that possession and/or ignition of any type of fireworks within city limits is illegal. Violators could face a $1000.00 fine.
With Independence Day fast approaching, we are already receiving reports of fireworks every day. Calls for service often include noise complaints, property damage reports, injury reports, and lost or injured pets. Last year, our Police Dispatch Center received 504 firework related calls for service in the 10 days leading up to July 4th.
