* Until 1215 PM CDT Friday.
* At 309 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in several locations in te warned area . Two to four inches with locally high amounts of rain has fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Independence, Lee's Summit, Shawnee, Blue Springs, Lenexa, Leawood, Raytown, Liberty, Grandview, Belton, Prairie Village, Raymore, Grain Valley, Excelsior Springs, Merriam, Mission and Pleasant Hill.

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
