The City of San Marino has changed speed limits on two major streets within the city. Please click for further information.
The City of San Marino is required by law to complete an engineering and traffic survey every ten years. The most recent traffic survey was adopted by the San Marino City Council on February 28, 2019.
As a result of the traffic survey, two major streets within the city had their speed limits adjusted for public safety. The following streets have been adjusted:
San Marino Avenue - Certain portions of San Marino Avenue had a speed limit of 30mph, while other portions had a speed limit of 25mph. The speed limit for all portions of San Marino Avenue has been adjusted to 25mph.
Sierra Madra Boulevard - Certain portions of Sierra Madre Boulevard had a speed limit of 40mph, while other portions had a speed limit of 35mph. The speed limits for all portions of Sierra Boulevard has been adjusted to 35mph.
New speed limit signs have been posted to reflect the new speed limits. Please be aware of your speed, especially in the listed areas, as the new limits can be enforced immediately.
