The City of Pasadena issues another night of curfews
Given concern over injuries and destruction of property in neighboring cities, last night the City of Pasadena imposed a curfew overnight. Due to continuing incidents throughout Los Angeles County, coupled with concerns that non-Pasadena residents may attempt to disrupt our community, the City will impose a second night of curfews effective at 8:00 p.m. tonight, May 31 until 5:30 a.m., June 1. There are not any significant incidents in Pasadena at this time, but we are mindful of the destruction and looting in Los Angeles, Santa Monica and elsewhere and will update our community should the situation warrant.
“It is heartbreaking that peaceful protesting has been diminished by unlawful behavior. We must take proactive measures to protect our residents and businesses so that our first responders can focus on doing their jobs actively patrolling and monitoring citywide activities. We appreciate all of our residents staying at home.” Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek
The curfews prohibit anyone from being on public streets, alleys, parks or any public place and will be enforced.
