National City Residents and Businesses:
Thank you for being strong as we continue to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and know that we are monitoring the actions and protests taking place around the County regarding the death of George Floyd. Now more than ever, we need to show tolerance, understanding and unity without violence and we want to assure you that we are working closely with the County of San Diego, National City Police Department and National City’s emergency personnel.
We are prepared for any incidents that may arise in National City.
In response to the rioting and looting that occurred in La Mesa as well as other areas of San Diego County and the Nation, the City of National City has implemented a curfew as a precaution. Please stay home, stay safe with your families unless you need to travel for work, seek medical care or are experiencing an emergency situation.
Our priority is to keep the community of National City safe and to protect our residents and local businesses, while supporting peaceful protests. Together we can, keep our community safe.
