ADDITIONAL POLICE ON PATROL DUE TO EVENTS IN WALNUT CREEK 
MESSAGE FROM CHIEF ALLAN SHIELDS:
To the Danville Community,
We are following what is happening in Walnut Creek, and want you to know that we have brought in extra personnel to patrol the Town, provide support in Walnut Creek this evening and to watch for any spread of the activity from Walnut Creek.
I ask that you remain calm at this time, but be alert to your surroundings. If you see something that looks suspicious or dangerous, please do not engage. Call 911 immediately, and leave the area.
We will be on alert and watching for any trouble coming from looters etc leaving Walnut Creek. If the need arises to provide further updates, we will have them here on Nextdoor, as well as via the Nixle app.
Anyone with information to share is asked to send the information via 911 (in an emergency) and (925) 820-2144 (non-emergency) rather than social media messages.
I know that this is a very frightening and stressful time, but we must all work together to get through this.
