Today at 5:00 PM, a peaceful protest is expected to occur in neighboring Asbury Park in the area of the Post Office on Bangs Ave. The event is scheduled to take place entirely in Asbury Park, with nothing planned to occur in Neptune Township or Ocean Grove. As with any large event in a neighboring community, there is a possibility for increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Motorists can expect this increased traffic along Memorial Drive and Main Street going from Neptune into Asbury. Neptune residents should be aware of this and remember to contact the NTPD with any concerns. Any specific questions about the protest should be directed to Asbury Park.
