The County of Los Angeles has issued an updated order with a curfew for all of LA County that will go into effect at 6 PM tonight and last until 6 AM Tuesday morning. We want to thank our community for honoring the curfew yesterday evening and ask you to again honor the curfew this evening so that our law enforcement personnel could focus on protecting our community from those who may have criminal intent. You can find the information on the updated curfew on LA County's website. 

We want to re-assure our community, that the Hermosa Beach Police Department is on the job and stands ready to respond. We are communicating frequently with our businesses because we are aware that they may be targeted, as they have been in other communities by opportunistic criminals. We are also continuing to respond to other calls for service from the community.

As of Monday morning, there are no gatherings planned in Hermosa Beach. However, we are closely monitoring social media and in contact with our L.A. County and South Bay law enforcement partners. We also have the ability to call in additional resources if needed. We want Hermosa Beach residents to know we will continue to serve the community and will diligently defend our City, its residents and property.
