City of Redondo Beach Local Emergency Update
In response to the civil unrest occurring throughout our region the Redondo Beach Police Department has implemented the following:
Emergency staffing to enforce the LA County wide curfew ordinance, provide protection and deter crime. All members of the Police Department, including Reserve Police Officers are deployed.
The Police Department is working closely with law enforcement partners, locally, at the State and Federal level to ensure a rapid and robust response to any civil unrest. Specific areas in the City are provided additional resources from local, State and Federal partners. Protocols to hold looters in custody with a bail have been developed and already implemented. A centralized Emergency Operations Center has been established which allows for enhanced strategy and communication with our law enforcement partners.
We are monitoring many different platforms, including social media to identify information of interest.
