Patrol Deputy:
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for Patrol Deputies. The written exam will be an E-Exam taken remotely due to COVID-19 and will take place on June 27, 2020. Applicants must submit their application, $25.00 non-refundable application fee (checks made payable to County of McHenry), and required paperwork by 4:30 p.m. on June 12, 2020.

The minimum qualifications to apply for Patrol Deputy are:
• Applicant must be 21 years of age at hiring.
• Must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
• Applicant must be a United States Citizen.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Applicant must live in McHenry County or any bordering Illinois
county, within one year of hiring.

Correctional Officer:
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office is currently taking applications for the position of Correctional Officer. The Written Test will take place on either Saturday, July 11th, 2020 or Sunday, July 12th, 2020. The Physical Agility Exam will be determined at a later date. Applications and ALL required documents must be received by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020.

The minimum qualifications to apply for Corrections Officer are:
• Minimum of 21 years of age. Applicants may test at age 20, but
must be 21 at time of appointment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• No prior experience required.
• Applicant must possess a valid driver's license.
• Applicant must possess a Firearm Owner’s Identification Card.

Kenosha/Walworth counties in Wisconsin, within one year of
hiring.
