Nixle has made some changes to improve service and keep our costs for their service lower.  They have created a mobile (cell phone) app for Nixle messages.  It can be found on the app store and is called Everbridge.  There is no cost to download the app.  Once it is downloaded, you can select which agencies from which to receive Nixle advisories.

As part of their changes, if you currently receive both e-mail and text message advisories, now you will only receive them via e-mail and the mobile app.  This reduces the number of texts that they have to pay to send, reduces "text clutter" on your phone, and keeps the Town's costs down.  If you only receive the advisories via text message, then you will continue to receive them in this way.  All emergency alerts will continue to be sent to all users.
