UPDATED COUNTY HEALTH ORDER
New Health Order Further Relaxes Restrictions
On June 2, 2020, the Contra Costa County Health officer released an updated Health Order outlining a continued relaxation of the restrictions placed upon the county during the fight against COVID-19.
The new health order will allow indoor retail shopping, business offices, outdoor museums to resume operation. It also allows for services that do not require close customer contact such as housekeeping, car washes, and plumbing. Other changes include allowing small outdoor social gatherings, as well as childcare and camps for all children. The childcare and camps must still maintain a stable group of no more than 12. Libraries can reopen for curbside pickups and protests of up to 100 people will be permitted. These changes take effect on June 3, 2020.
Beginning June 15, 2020, religious services will be able to resume with limitations.
County Health Officer Chris Farnitano says that in the near future they will be consulting with the State of California about reopening swimming pools and outdoor dining.
