SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Domestic Violence/Weapon Possession Arrest
DATE AND TIME: June 3, 2020 at approximately 7:11 P.M.
LOCATION: 10000 block of North Reed Road, Reynolds Township.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic situation with information that the suspect was armed with a handgun on June 3, 2020 at approximately 7:11 P.M. in the 10000 block of North Reed Road, Pierson Township.
The suspect, a 24-year-old Morley man, and his girlfriend were arguing and the suspect made threats to shoot his girlfriend if she attempted to leave the home. The girlfriend and her children were able to flee the home without injuries. With the assistance of a neighbor, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect has been charged through the prosecutor’s office with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon While Intoxicated, and Domestic Violence. The suspect is lodged in the Montcalm County Jail awaiting arraignment.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police and Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services.
