* At 1059 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near West Deptford to Buena to near Bowers, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.
* Locations impacted include... Vineland, Atlantic City, Millville, Ocean City, Cape May, Cumberland, Cherry Hill, Evesham, Deptford, Voorhees, Medford, West Deptford, Barnegat, Pleasantville, Glassboro, Lindenwold, Hammonton, Bellmawr, Somers Point and Ventnor City. This includes the following highways... Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 1 and 44. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 0 and 68. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
