REASSURANCE
The Woodway Public Safety Department (WPSD) is aware of and monitoring the protest events related to the tragic death of Mr. George Floyd. WPSD is recognized by the Texas Police Chief’s Association as a “Best Practices” agency and we strive to maintain the highest training such as de-escalation and crisis intervention. WPSD adapts and learns from situations to better our department and better serve our community.
WPSD maintains a strict Use of Force Policy which includes easy access for receiving complaints for review. WPSD has excellent communication with our citizens, community leaders, and the greater Waco area. WPSD continues its collaborative efforts between city leaders, its police officers, and citizens to make Woodway a safer place to live and work.
