Town of Danville Update:  6.5.20

New Health Order Allows Outdoor Dining, Pools, more

On June 5, 2020, the Contra Costa County Health officer released an updated Health Order outlining a continued relaxation of the restrictions placed upon the county during the fight against COVID-19.

The new health order eases restrictions in a number of areas.  These include:

  • Outdoor dining at restaurants
  • Use of swimming pools
  • Use of dog parks
  • Outdoor religious services up to 100 people
  • Indoor religious services of up to 12 people
  • Use of outdoor picnic and BBQ areas
  • Overnight camping for people belonging to the same household

This order follows the update given on June 2, 2020 which also allowed offices and many retail businesses to reopen and allowed small social gathering which included people from different households.

Even with the relaxation of the restrictions, residents are reminded that facial coverings and social distancing are still necessary for the prevention of virus transmission.
