NARRATIVE:
The Township of Ocean Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Todd Gregory to the rank of Lieutenant, which was effective Monday, June 1st, 2020. In addition to the promotion, Brett Blank, Jacob Sopko, and Samantha Conners were all appointed to the position of Police Officer. Blank and Sopko were sworn in on March 9th, 2020 and Conners on April 20th 2020 all at Ocean Township Police Headquarters. A public swearing in was not able to be held due to the current pandemic.
Lieutenant Gregory joined the Township of Ocean Police Department in January of 2000 and has served in the Patrol Bureau and Traffic Bureau. Lt. Gregory will be assigned to Logistics and Special Projects.
Police Officer Blank was formerly an officer with the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police in New York and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department in New York. Police Officer Sopko was formerly an officer with North Hanover PD. Police Officer Conners was formerly with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. All three are assigned to the Patrol Bureau.
