On Friday, June 5th, 2020, Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies from the Taft Substation arrested four teenagers from Maricopa after the juveniles were caught on surveillance video stealing six vehicles from the Maricopa School District. The juveniles caused over $200,000 worth of damage to the vehicles and school property. Three of the four caused an additional estimated $22,000 worth of damage the night before. All were booked into Juvenile Hall for burglary, vehicle theft, vandalism, and conspiracy.
