County Plan Shows Salons Reopening June 17
Over the weekend, Contra Costa Health Services posted a graphic showing the ‘Road to Reopening’ of the community as we navigate the ongoing recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
The expected schedule of reopening should go as follows:
June 17, 2020: Hair Salons, Barber shops
July 1, 2020: Indoor dining
Bars
Indoor religious services
Gyms and Fitness center
Limited indoor leisure (arcades, billiards, bowling alleys)
Indoor museums
Hotels
July/August: Schools
Town Council Approves Limited Street Closures
At a special meeting held Monday, June 8, 2020, the Danville Town Council approved a set of limited street closures to allow restaurants to expand their outdoor seating to accommodate for the closure of indoor dining through the end of the month. The closures are set for three months, but that time frame can be modified depending on social distancing requirements.
The areas affected by the temporary closures are:
Church Street
W. Linda Mesa Avenue
Parking spaces on Hartz Avenue
Parking space on Rose St.
Maps of the closures and the resolution approved by the Town Council can be found online.
To participate, restaurants will be required to obtain an administrative Temporary Outdoor Seating Permit. Applications for the permit can be found at www.danville.ca.gov/outdoordiningpermit.
