A major injury traffic collision occurred Tuesday in the intersection of Baseline Street and Victoria Avenue

LOCATION: Baseline Street and Victoria Avenue, Highland
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at approximately 1:00 pm, deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to the intersection of Baseline Street and Victoria Avenue in reference to a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle involved is a silver 2002 Toyota Avalon sedan that was traveling east on Baseline Street when it collided with the pedestrian.
Deputies arrived at the location and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital.
The cause of the collision is still being investigated by the Highland Police Department.
