Harper Woods Class of 2020 Senior Car Parade June 13th

The Harper Woods Class of 2020 will be participating in the annual Senior Car Parade on June 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. The Senior Car Parade has been an annual event for many years which the public safety department has always supported.

This year’s parade holds more importance than previous years. As we all know, traditional graduation will not take place this year due to the COVID-19 Outbreak. I think all members of city government and the public safety department share my empathy with the students and their families that there will not be a traditional senior commencement, but the parade will be a start to recognize this important milestone in each senior’s life.

The parade route will travel through the streets of Woodside, Woodland, Old Homestead, Eastwood, Damman, Country Club and Fleetwood as well as Beaconsfield. (See attached route) The parade should last approximately 30 minutes. The public safety department asks that residents be understanding and celebrate our graduating seniors’ achievement along the route.

On behalf of the Harper Woods Public Safety Department, we support the Harper Woods High School Class of 2020, offer congratulations, and wish that you keep climbing until your dreams come true.
