Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports his deputies responded to a personal injury traffic crash on 06/11/2020 at approximately 1418 hours on Wayne Street and Baldwin Prairie Rd., Porter Township, County of Cass, MI. A vehicle driven by Nathaniel Gerwels, 20 year old of Granger Indiana, was traveling eastbound on Wayne St when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Baldwin Prairie Rd. At this point, a collision occurred with a northbound vehicle driven by Linda Moore, 51 year old of Cassopolis MI. Moore was transported by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for her injuries. Seat belts were worn. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. This crash remains under investigation.
