All of the City’s Municipal Parking lots will remain open this coming weekend as the City of Sausalito gradually reopens with outside dining and curbside retail.

The Sausalito Police Department would like to thank the community for its patience and understanding over the last several weeks of parking lot closures. As we return to more normal operations, we want to remind everyone that all parking regulations are being enforced. Payments will be required in the municipal parking lots. Residents and commuters should use their parking cards. Payments will be required at street meters. Valid area permits must be displayed and all time limits will be monitored and enforced.

Please remember that “curbside pick-up” does not necessarily mean you can literally pull up to the curb of your favorite local business if the roadway doesn’t allow. Citations will be issued for those parked illegally in red zones, blocking crosswalks and all other hazardous violations. Green and yellow zones are available to use for curbside pick-up.

Uniformed Ambassadors from Sausalito Bike Return (SBR) will continue to be stationed downtown throughout the weekend. Their mission is to remind and educate people of the Public Health Order requirements while in Sausalito.

Compliance with the Public Health Order (PHO) can help keep everyone safe. We can all do our part to limit the spread of COVID-19 by social distancing and wearing face coverings when unable to maintain a 6 foot distance and also when entering any establishment.

Please remember that the PHO in each county will vary. If you travel from one county to another you are required to operate under the PHO of the county that you are in.
