The Moraga-Orinda Fire District will be conducting small controlled burns in the Fay Hill area, near the Painted Rocks, on Friday and Saturday.  These controlled burns are being used for training, to reduce fuel levels in the area and to prepare the area for larger controlled burns in the next two weeks. There will be smoke in the area.

Also, please remember that grasses and brush around Moraga are dry and much of it can easily catch on fire.  One of the reasons that fireworks are illegal throughout Contra Costa County is because their use can cause fires...and have in the past.  Please do not use any type of fireworks in Moraga.
