City Hall and the Police Department Reopening
Ripon’s City Hall and Police Department will reopen to the public on Monday, June 15th for business that cannot be conducted on-line, through email, or by phone. The City will resume normal business hours of Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm while following State and County COVID-19 reopening guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our employees and the public.
Below lists many of the high demand services and how best the public can access them:
- Utility payments – Payments may be made online, mailed to City Hall, or dropped into the drop box outside City Hall.
- Building permit applications – Complete application and either email or drop into the box outside City Hall.
- Business licenses – Complete application and drop into the box outside of City Hall
- Special event permits/sign permits – Complete application and drop into the box outside of City Hall
- Engineering encroachment permits - Complete application and drop into the box outside of City Hall
- Live scans – Call 209-599-2102 to make an appointment
- Animal adoptions – Call 209-599-2102 to make an appointment
- Recycling Center – Will continue to operate between the hours of 7:30 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Ripon residents only
- Large Item Pick-up Program – To schedule a pickup, call 209-599-2108, email the Public Works Department, or fill out the application.
- Senior Center – Will remain closed until further notice.
- Facility Rentals – Will remain closed until further notice.
