Huntington Park’s Fireworks Rules and Restrictions

Police and fire officials throughout Huntington Park are reminding residents that fireworks are dangerous, many are illegal and fines as high as $5000 can be applied for the possession, sale or use of illegal fireworks.
 
The Huntington Park Police Department will proactively enforce fireworks laws this year. Please remember that only Safe and Sane fireworks are only allowed on 4th of July from 10AM to 10PM.
Here are the City’s Fireworks guidelines:

  1. The possession, sale or use of illegal fireworks is prohibited and will result in a $5,000 fine.
  2. The improper use of fireworks is prohibited and will result in a $500 fine.
  3. Fireworks are not allowed in City property, public property, or parking lots.

We encourage residents to report illegal fireworks activity by calling the HPPD hotline at 323.584.6188. Alternatively, you may send an anonymous text message to report illegal fireworks activity by texting "TIP 2HPPD [insert tip]" to 888-777
