The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car crash that resulted in two people being injured on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at approximately 1:00 A.M. on Snows Lake Road east of River Road in Eureka Township.
The investigation revealed that a 1997 Buick Lesabre, operated by a 25-year-old Greenville man, was traveling east on Snows Lake Rd. The vehicle drove off the dead end of the road and went down an embankment striking several trees. Both the driver and his passenger, a 24-year-old Sheridan man were extricated from the vehicle by members of the Greenville Department of Public Safety.
Both men were transported from the scene to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment for their injuries.
Both speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Greenville Department of Public Safety, Greenville Fire, Montcalm County Emergency Services, Life EMS, and Captain Hook's Towing.
