Full Notification

The Town has been notified by Duke Energy of a planned power outage needed to continue to improve the reliability of the power grid in our community. The outage will begin at tonight at approximately 12:01 AM on Tuesday, June 16, and lasts until approximately 1 AM. The rain date will be Wednesday, June 17 at 12:01 AM. Any customers affected by this outage will be notified by Duke Energy via Phone Call. The outage area is planned to encompass the main body of the Town area between Charlotte Road & Mountain St (north to south) and Railroad Ave to Ridgecrest Ave (West to East). There will be a few areas just outside of this main area as well. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience. It is suggested that any critical systems you may have running be powered down and any safeguards for backing up computers be implemented before the scheduled outage time.
