Residential Burglary Suspect Arrested

Suspect: Ludwin Dominguez, 37-year-old male (In-custody)

On Sunday, June 14th, 2020, at approximately 11:47 AM, Redwood City Police Officers responded to the 400 block of Redwood Avenue on the report of an in-progress residential burglary. The homeowner was away from his residence when he received a notification from an interior video surveillance camera system that an unknown suspect was inside his residence. As police arrived at the scene, the suspect later identified as Ludwin Dominguez, was observed fleeing the residence on foot. Officers established a perimeter and located Dominguez attempting to enter a vehicle a short distance from the residence. Dominguez was detained without incident and positively identified by the initial officer on scene who witnessed him fleeing the residence.

Jewelry taken from the residence was located where Dominguez had been detained, and was later returned to the homeowner.

Dominguez was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for committing a residential burglary, resisting arrest, and on a misdemeanor arrest warrant.
