Moraga-Orinda Fire District will be conducting a controlled burn at Fay Hill (Painted Rock) today, beginning at 10:00am.  This is designed to reduce fuels in the area, provide live-fire training for firefighters and make the area safer for our upcoming fire season.  The controlled burn will be concluded no later than 5:00pm.  Please be aware of the following:

• There will be smoke in the area - residents in the Carroll Ranch and Buckingham neighborhoods should keep windows closed.
• There will be traffic congestion in the area due to fire equipment and drivers slowing to look.  Please drive safely and slowly.
• Substantial safety precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of the surrounding community during the exercise.
