Parks and Rec Activities, Visiting City Hall, Court Appearances and On Street Parking Enforcement
Parks and Rec
The Parks and Rec Department will open Picnic Shelters on Monday June 22,2020. The indoor shelter at Salter Park will remained closed however. Keep in mind that reservations for the shelters are taken 3 weeks in advance of a planned event. Social Distancing will still be stressed as requested by Health Officials. Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts and the Playscape at Johnston Park are now open. The New Salter Park Basketball Half Court will be open on Monday June 22, 2020. However, the Playscape is open.
Visiting City Hall
All visitors to city hall will be required to wear a mask upon entry to any building. City offices will only be open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9 am to 5 pm.
Court Appearances
32-A District Court will remain closed and will open in phases that have been determined by the State Court Administrative Office. Do not come to the court unless you are contacted. If you have any questions, call 313-343-2590.
On Street Parking Enforcement
Enforcement of Harper Woods City Ordinance 25-4 which prohibits parking on any street between the hours of 230 am - 5 am will resume being enforced on July 1, 2020. Residents who are eligible for parking passes will be required to display a parking pass by this date.
