Southern La Salle County in north central Illinois...
Western Will County in northeastern Illinois...
Grundy County in northeastern Illinois...
* Until 945 PM CDT.
* At 651 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow-
moving thunderstorms over the same area. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2
inches in less than an hour are occurring with these storms. This
will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Joliet, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Mokena, Frankfort, Streator,
Morris, Channahon, Minooka, Dwight, Seneca, Wilmington, Manhattan,
Braidwood, Coal City, Mazon, and Diamond.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
